There’s that hot weather, high 80’s today. After a bite to eat we made our way to deck 0 to hop on the Tenders. Some ports don’t have the accommodations to dock these Cruise ships, so they send out Tenders (water taxis fit about 100 people each run) to get us onto the island. Looking out the balcony I couldn’t believe there were 5 cruise ships at port. Carnival Conquest, Carnival Paradise, Princess Regal, MS cruise ship and The Navigator of the seas. Gonna be a busy port day!

Once on land we found a taxi and straight to the beach. We hung out all day at the Royal Palms Resort and by 9am were slurping Pina Colas and Long Island ice tea. Kaitlyn even had a virgin mango smoothie. I had promised to meet a friend at this resort, she worked until 1 and was planning to be there before 2. Well Klobbster the Lobster drank too much in the hot sun and our pale Canadian kids started to feel the heat so we had to abort mission “must meet Natalie”. Many apologies Nat I was looking forward to meeting your little Nixon.

Back onto the ship to guzzle about 2 gallons of water and gatorade, Janet took Kaitlyn for a tour of the ship to explore, eat ice cream and have a Dr Suesse photo shoot. According to Janet our daughter parked her butt in front the the violinists in the atrium for a few songs and said Grandpa has to show her how to play violin.

Dinner spent on the Lido deck at the buffet, back to the room to nurse my sunburn, and asleep by 9:30. Another beach day tomorrow in Cozumel Mexico. Ugh I can’t believe this Vacation is half over.
