Kaitlyn woke up “time to eat green eggs and ham?” Our last day of cruising I made arrangements to meet Cat in the Hat, Sam I am, Thing 1 and Thing 2 for brekky. I know right? Dad can make anything happen lol. Went to the Renoir Dining room for 8:30 and was greeted by an Ice sculpture and some wonderful staff who ushered the four of us to our breakfast table which was decorated everything Dr Suess. Daughter was on cloud nine, we ordered brekky, took advantage of the Photo ops and ate some colourful food.

The remainder of our day was spent packing, looking at our photos on deck 4 (throughout the cruise photographers offer to take memorable pictures for purchase) exploring the candy shops, eating and a trip to the Arcade.
That night I got to take Kaitlyn for a dinner date while mom and Abel slept. Took in a rendition of “Leaving on a Jet Plane” put on by our dinner staff, ate some frogs legs appetizers, Baked onion soup and plate after plate of steamed mussels, Kaitlyn loved them. During dinner we were seated beside a couple from Florida, originally from Detroit, who we enjoyed conversation with. The woman was quite humbling, while conversing about our family story (our very Winnipeg family story) and how we all live so close to each other, she teared up expressing how lonely it was with her kids and grandkids thousands of miles away. See mom and dad? Never give up a chance to babysit 😉 Kaitlyn gave her a big hug, we ate our 5 deserts, and went to the arcade to waste some moola on silly prizes.

$80 later I won a stuffed Chewbacca and Stormtrooper! That damn claw wouldn’t grab the Macbook, no matter how many times I swiped my Sail and Sign card (how they charge your visa). When back in the cabin we placed our packed luggage outside the stateroom so the Stewards could get them to port for us. We checked in for our flight home, turned on “Cars 2” and fell asleep early. 4 hour direct flight back to the peg.

Woke up, disembarked, found our luggage, hopped a shuttle, boarded the plane with a bunch of sunburnt Winnipegers on their way home from Vacation. Kids did great on the plane, landed and was happy to receive the cold prairie air and sloppy kisses from my Nikki. Thanks for puppy sitting mom, dad and Angie.
Great trip, can’t wait to family vacation again. Janet and I truly are blessed to be able to travel with such amazing children. WTF the Jets are 0-3 since we left? uh ohhhhh
